The first GRIND Conference took place at Morgan State University during the Spring 2017 school semester. The conference was conceived by Dr. Paris Adkins-Jackson who was serving that school year as the Vice President of the Morgan State Graduate Student Association when she was a doctoral student studying Psychometrics.
About 100 students registered for the conference and the conference day included faculty awards, professional development sessions, a delicious luncheon and dozens of research presentations through the poster competition and doctoral panels. The second annual GRIND Conference took place in the Morgan State University Student Center on Friday, March 9, 2018. The 2018 GRIND planning committee, chaired by Khadijah Ali-Coleman, included Thea Celestine, Patrice Bryan, Christin Smith, Anita Yawson and Glenn Eichelberger.
